A Day in The Life of Dylan Bosch, 2015
Bosch is a South African Olympic hopeful and U.S. National Champion. The video gives insight into all aspects of the daily life of a swimmer, as it was made over the course of a month. Rather than just seeing the athletes as “performers” the video creates the opportunity for viewers to hear the stories and see an athlete’s life from an insider perspective. The video creates an understanding of the mentality, dedication, relationships, and sacrifices that athletes make to reach their goals, and what comes with competing at such an intense level, as most viewers are unfamiliar with this. Instead, they will find themselves seeing the sports world from the inside rather than just observing.
Update: Bosch swam and competed at the 2016 Rio Olympics for team South Africa.
